How Did a Completely Normal Sentence End Up Being Flagged as AI-Written?

I never imagined I would get caught in an AI content detection tool.

No matter what I do, I just can’t get my AI detection score low enough. Am I seriously going to fail my graduation just because of an AI detector? The online tools for reducing AI scores aren’t very helpful, and I’ve never even tried using AI to lower my AI score manually. Now, I have to spend an entire day tweaking my sentences and spending money I’d normally use for meals, all just to prove that this is my own work. The whole thing feels absurd.

Personally, I don’t want anyone else doing the AI score reduction for me, because many of the terms and technical phrases in my thesis can’t be changed (and students from other fields wouldn’t even recognize those terms). So, I’ll figure it out myself.

Success! I managed to do it. I changed “able to” to “can,” “may” to “could,” and “will” to “might.” I tried to remove words like “therefore” and “also,” replacing “through” with “by.”—they need to appear where they’re supposed to. Too many of them just doesn’t work. I switched periods to commas and semicolons where appropriate and shuffled the sentence structure around. And it worked on the tool I was using!
